St Stephen’s is 125 years old! Over the years we have done a lot of weddings, funerals, and Baptisms in our community! We have also supported a lot of charities, including the Food Bank, and our hall is widely used by the community.

 

The Church does not receive any funding from the government. We must raise all income from the congregation and other supporters. We are a non-profit charity. We hold fundraising events to help pay for ongoing running costs and to keep the church and hall open for the benefit of the community. We also need to pay for urgent building and roof repairs.

 

As part of our 125th Anniversary, we are launching a 125 club. This is way of fundraising for the church, outside of other regular giving and charity activities. You also have a chance of getting something back for yourself.

It costs £12 for a number, and your number will be entered into 12 draws per year. (Effectively £1 per month) You can have more than one number if you wish, for example couples may choose to have a number each.

Each draw takes place on the 1st Tuesday of the month, when a number is randomly drawn out. If you have the winning number, you will win a share of the prize pot. (Prize pot is split between the winner and the church. The amount of the prize pot will depend on number of entries.

 £12 initially due to be paid in December 2025, ready for the 1st draw to take place in January 2026, then it will automatically be renewed each January. You are not obligated to renew each year and can cancel at any time.

 Winners will be notified by email or phone. We will also post the winning numbers in the notices and here on our website.
